In Jerusalem there is a set of buildings known as Yad Vashem dedicated to archiving, preserving and displaying information about the holocaust. Masada - From the top one can see the footpath that snakes down to the base of the mountain over 1,000 feet below. The path was originally built by the Romans almost 2,000 years ago. Looking carefully you can see the remains of the square encampment walls erected by the Romans during the 18-month siege of Masada.
